Pragmatism
For James, pragmatism is a method, a theory of truth, and a way of thinking about the world.
It opposes absolutistic schemes and contents itself with provisional (but workable) concepts andmethodologies.
For James, words, theories, concepts and the like are "instruments, not answers to enigmas."
