The 16th Annual Applied Gerontology Workshop Series

Successful Aging in St. Louis

Successful Webster Universityıs mission is to educate students to be lifelong, independent learners within a global community characterize by economic interdependence, uncertainty and emerging values. The University is pleased to present the Sixteenth Annual Gerontology Workshop as a part of its commitment to the community and as a way to provide students and graduates lifelong learning opportunities.

Introduction

Although St. Louisı population of older adults is growing at an unprecedented rate, many of us are not prepared to respond to the challenges and opportunities of growing older. Where can we turn for support and assistance? How will we continue to meet the goals of living independently and of maintaining/improving our quality of life? What type of systems are available in the St. Louis area for delivering services to older adults? It is important to increase the availability of information to meet these continuing challenges for our St. Louis community. All of these questions and more will be addressed during Webster University's Successful Aging in St. Louis workshop!

The Sixteenth Annual Gerontology Workshop at Webster University is designed to address the many challenges, opportunities and resources available for all of us who are "Successful Aging In St. Louis." We will focus on the unique situation of elders, their families and their caregivers in the St. Louis region. The workshop will provide information that can be immediately put into practice in your own life or in your work with seniors in St. Louis.
