Spif Regions

Each page type has a variation of what spif regions it contains. However, all page types will use a combination or a variation of the following regions:

  • Banner (1 Spif)
  • Left Column (3 Spifs)
  • Main Content / Lower Spif (3 Rows with 3 Spifs, or 4 Rows with 3-4 Spifs)

Spif Descriptions and Optimal Display Areas

Any spif can be included on any of part of the page. However, due to size and style differences, each spif may not display optimally in every region.

Banner

This spif contains one ore more images that display above the page title and underneath the main menu. By default, there is only one image. However, if additional images are placed, then pages including that banner Spif will display one of the images at random (try refreshing this page to load a different image). The banner spif should be placed into the banner region. Note that Branding pages do not have this region.

Body Content Table

This is a full-width table spif that works best in the main content region. To display properly, it should be the only spif displayed in the row it exists in.

Courses

This spif displays a list of cities where classes on a certain topic can be taken in. It displays best in the main content region. This spif will also resize to fit the width of the row it exists in when "Show first and second spif" is selected for the row.

Facts and Figures

Similar to the body content table, this spif works best in the main content region, and should be allowed the full-width in the row it exists in.

Left Column Feature

This spif works best in the left column region and contains a title, image, date, and paragraph.

Main Content Feature

This spif works best in the main content region. Like the left column feature, it contains a title, image, date, and paragraph. Optionally, a video may be used instead of an image. This spif will also resize to fit the width of the row it exists in when "Show first and second spif" is selected for the row.

Quote

This is a simple spif that contains a quotation and a reference to the person who said it. It works best in the left column region.

RSS

Displays an RSS feed.

Text Content

This is a flexible spif that contains any content that can be inserted using the WYSIWYG editor. It works best with text and in the main content region. This spif will also resize to fit the width of the row it exists in when "Show first and second spif" is selected for the row.

Home Facts

This spif is only functional on the home page. When included, the home page will display this Spif when a site visitor clicks on the "Facts" icon.
