Slide Projectors
If you are using the slide projectors you need to check out the projector box key at the Media Center SV128. You will be asked to leave you
university ID when checking the key out; upon return you will get it back. The slide projector remote control is in first projector box as you walk in.
To lower the screen, there is a toggle switch next to the video projector screens, toggle the switch down. Please raise the screen when finished, turn off the
projectors, lock the slide boxes and return slide projector box key to the Media Center. You also have the option to use the Crestron to control the
slide projectors, but you are locked into staying by the podium.
General Use
The Crestron controller is hardwired; this means that you need to be near the controller to make any changes. If the Crestron remote control is blank,
its in a sleep mode, just touch the screen to reactive it. Now press
SYSTEM ON, you will notice on the left and right side of the remote screen are icons for the equipment.
Press the icon for desired equipment use; example
DVD the center of the Crestron screen will have a viewing window and at the bottom control buttons. Volume control is on the right
side of the viewing window and on the left is volume for the podium microphone. Turn on the DVD player and insert your DVD.
Below the viewing window you need to select
DISPLAY DVD ON RIGHT SCREEN or DISPLAY DVD ON LEFT SCREEN, screen right is closest to the podium, then press
SCREEN ON/OFF. To power down press SCREEN ON/OFF then POWER then you are asked
YES or NO, press YES and the projectors will power down in 90 sec. Get your DVD out of the player and turn it off.
Wolfvision Document Camera
The document camera will project anything put under it, pictures, books or transparencies. When using the Wolfvision document camera
never pull up on the head, use the Crestron remote control. If the Crestron remote control is blank,
its in a sleep mode, just touch the screen to reactive it. Now press
SYSTEM ON, you will notice on the left and right side of the viewing window icons for the equipment. Press the
DOC CAM icon on the Crestron then press the ARM UP /POWER ON icon and the head will automatically come into place.
You can adjust focus + or – and zoon in or out. Now select
DISPLAY DVD ON RIGHT SCREEN or DISPLAY DVD ON LEFT SCREEN, screen right is closest to the podium, then press
SCREEN ON/OFF. Please shut down the Wolfvision in the same manner, using the
ARM DOWN /POWER OFF icon on the Crestron. To power down press SCREEN ON/OFF then
POWER then you are asked YES or NO, press YES and the projectors will power down in 90 sec.
Duel Data/Video Projectors
This classroom has the capability of projecting two different video sources at the same time example:
DVD movie on one screen and on the other screen show the web page regarding the movie.
Lighting
There are two types of lighting in this room fluorescent and recessed incandescent.
The fluorescent lights have two switches one pair where you enter the lecture room and another pair by the screen your options are all on,
all off or half on. When showing video or slides it best to have the fluorescents off and
use the incandescent that are recessed in the ceiling that are on a dimmer switch.
The dimmer switch is located by the video screens next to the screen toggle switch.
