Remote Control checkout and Access
You need to check out the Crestron remote control from the Media Center in Sverdrup 128. If you have access on your faculty ID for the projector booth
SV123a you will not be asked to leave it for the Crestron remote control check out. If you have a semester class and need card swipe access to
SV123a projection booth; check with the Assistant Director or Director of the Media Center to have your access set up.
Crestron Remote Control
The Crestron remote is Radio Frequency controlled and not line of sight as with infrared remotes. The Crestron remote will control all of the
decks in the equipment rack in SV123a; slide projectors and audio volume. The Crestron remote control is battery powered, check the battery
level indicator when you pick it up. If it reads low battery ask at the Media Center to have a charged one installed.
General Use for DVD, VHS and Laser Disk
On the Crestron remote control touch the screen if its blank, it goes in a sleep mode if inactive for five minutes. Now touch
AV SYSTEM ON icon the screen will now say it will take 35 seconds to power up. After the system powers up you will see a menu on the right
and left side with icon of the equipment that you can control. If you need the DVD simply push the
DVD icon and the screen will show the controls for the Marantz DVD player. Sometimes there are more control buttons than can
fit on the first screen with some decks the
MORE button will give you more options. Push open/close on the Marantz DVD and insert your DVD. You can adjust the lighting in the lecture
room by using the touch panel in the projection booth or in the lecture room. The light panel is located left of the white board and in the
projection booth it’s by the far right slide projector. Push #9 on the touch panel this is best when showing DVD or VHS the only lights on are the
walkway lights. In the lecture room, lower the screen on the left of door by the white board is the up /down switch push it down. When finished, get your
DVD out of the deck in the projection booth (SV123a) and on the Crestron remote push the POWER icon in the lower right, then press
A/V System and Monitor POWER OFF. Return the Crestron remote to the Media Center.
Slide Projector’s
The slide projectors are located in the projection booth in SV123a. One left and one right put your slide trays on the projector or projectors needed.
On the Crestron remote control touch the screen if its blank, I goes in a sleep mode if inactive for five minutes. Now touch
35mm SLIDES. Now you will have the slide projector controls, touch power left or power right or dual. You have control over the following
REV (reverse) FWD (forward) and FOC – (focus-) and
FOC+ (Focus+). In the lecture room, lower the screen; on the left of door by the white board is the up down switch push it down. You can
adjust the lighting in the lecture room by using the touch panel in the projection booth or in the lecture room. The light panel is located left of the
white board and in the projection booth it’s by the far right slide projector. #1 is best with a dark screen area and low light over the seats. Now you
are ready to show slides the advance and reverse icon are under each projector. After you are finished turn off the slide projectors and retrieve
your slide trays. Return the Crestron remote to the Media Center.
Please do not turn on or off any device (DVD, VHS) in the SV123a rack with their individual power switch, if done this will defeat
the main power switch on the Crestron.

Touch panels are located in the lecture room by the white board and in the projection booth SV123a by the far right slide projector.
#1 Incandescent lights over seats only
#2 fluorescent lights in back of room and fluorescent walkway lights
#3 all lights medium level
#4 same as 3 but a little dimmer
#5 fluorescent lights in back of room only
#6 Incandescent lights over seats (dim) and flood lights in front (high)
#7 lights over seats
#8 fluorescent only
#9 fluorescent walkway lights only
There are two light switches on the left and right as you walk in the lecture room that are all lights on or all lights off.
Seating capability is 70
