Andrea Miller
Director, Center for the Study of Human Rights
Andrea holds a Ph.D. in sociology from American University, where she performed research in bisexuality. She is the author of a recent book chapter titled "Working the Boundaries: Bisexuality and Transgender in Film." As director of the Center for the Study of Human Rights, Andrea's 2008-09 initiatives will include spearheading the second annual Webster University Insitute for Human Rights for high schools students and directing efforts for Webster's Year of International Human Rights. She continues to serve as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Behavioral and Social Sciences.
Paul Moriarty

Interim Director, Human Rights Program
Paul holds a B.A. in Philosophy and Biology from the University of Virginia and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Colorado. He specializes in social and political philosophy and applied ethics--particularly human rights and the environment. Moriarty has published in such journals as Environmental Ethics and Environmental Values. He also works with the local chapter of Amnesty International.
Sarita Cargas

Sarita Cargas' father, a Christian scholar of the Holocaust, helped generate an interest in doing Holocaust research. This created a deep interest in questions of human rights. Cargas earned a doctorate from Oxford University on the topic of religion and war and currently teaches history courses as well as Current Issues in Human Rights and Introduction to Human Rights.
