The mission of the Office of Academic Affairs is to create, foster, and support the quality educational programs, the educational environment, and the operations that promote Webster University's academic endeavors.
Academic Affairs:
- administers the teaching, learning, service and research functions of the university
- supports the activities of the schools and colleges, and other academic service and support areas
- allocates resources to achieve the University's strategic educational goals
- evaluates progress through assessment and quality improvement
- coordinates a broad range of program reviews, accreditation and licensure activities
To achieve these objectives, Academic Affairs is organized in five colleges or schools, the extended campus administration, and the academic support departments. These Academic Affairs units provide leadership and support for instruction, curriculum, academic planning and evaluation, international activities, extended campus operations, faculty relations, budgets and facilities, professional development, research, and special projects and initiatives. Academic Affairs strives to ensure that appropriate resources are available to support these core educational aspects of the University's mission.
