Advising for Master of Arts in Counseling
The MA in Counseling has a specialized admissions process. Applicants interested in pursuing the MA in Counseling are required to schedule an appointment with a Counseling advisor prior to applying. Applicants are asked to bring official (unopened) or unofficial undergraduate transcripts to the appointment for the purpose of evaluating program prerequisites as well as any relevant graduate transcripts. Phone appointments are possible if transcripts can be sent (via fax, email, etc) in advance.

Counseling emphasis areas available in St. Louis are Community Counseling, Marriage and Family Counseling and Professional Mental Health Counseling. Emphasis options may vary from location to location. Students are encouraged to contact each site directly for information on emphasis options and mental health licensure.
