Online Students

Welcome to Webster University! You are part of a growing community within our undergraduate student body, and whether you are new to virtual learning, or have lots of experience learning this way, we are here to help you navigate your transition to online learning at Webster. Advisors in the Academic Advising Center assist new online students with their first registration appointment where we will help you understand the Webster University requirements for your chosen major, for the Global Citizenship Program (Webster’s general education program), and for electives. We’ll also orient you to our academic policies and work to get you assigned to a faculty or staff advisor in your major program.

Once your admission to Webster is complete and you are ready to register for your first semester, please call the Academic Advising Center at (314) 968-6972 or (800) 982-3847 to schedule a one-on-one appointment; for phone appointments, please be at your computer if possible. If you have any transfer credit, you must have a copy of your transcripts on file so they may be evaluated before your appointment. If you have not yet sent your official transcripts, they must be received by the end of your final term. To prepare for your first advising appointment, please follow the below steps:

STEP 1: Review the Online Orientation Packet.

STEP 2: Review the information on the Transfer Students page if you have any transfer credit.

STEP 3: Review the Online Student Support information on the Online Learning Center’s homepage.

STEP 4: Review information on Webster’s available Online Learning and Degree Programs.

STEP 5: Review the Undergraduate Catalog to determine your degree requirements.  On the catalog, select “Majors” from the left hand menu access a list of all majors Webster offers.  Review the “Degree Requirements” for your major.
