Karl Krekeler '04 & Kara Krekeler '04

Kara Krekeler (formerly Beightel) graduated in 2004 with a BA in Journalism.  Her husband Karl Krekeler, graduated in 2004 with a BA in Management with an emphasis in Marketing.

Karl and Kara met the second day of their freshman year in freshman seminar, Contemporary Camelot, which was taught by Andrea Braun. The class really gelled, and over 12 years later, Karl and Kara still keep in touch with a lot of the friends they made there. Several of them came to their wedding in September 2005 (Webster professor Art Silverblatt performed the ceremony), and Andrea, their professor, has become a dear friend to the Krekeler's over the years.

Today, Karl and Kara live in Maplewood, Missouri with their kids, Logan (4) and Molly (1). Karl is a sales representative for Major Brands, a liquor distributor, and Kara a reference librarian at University City Public Library. She is also finishing graduate school, and expects to receive her Master's in Library Science from the University of Missouri in August.
