The Friday Lecture Series, sponsored by the DADAH and the Webster University Speaker’s Committee, invites professional and practicing artists, designers, and art scholars for one-hour discussions about their work. The lectures allow for students to engage with practicing professionals, in part to begin generating a professional network. More fundamentally, it helps students become aware of the issues, ideas, methods, and practices of their chosen fields. At Webster, students are part of a broader community of art, with its constituent past, present, and future identities. The Lecture Series provides students with that necessary awareness of the larger world of art, outside the walls of Webster University.
Lectures are held at noon most Fridays in Sverdrup 123. DADAH students are expected to attend all lectures.
