Brad Loudenback is Professor of Art in the Leigh Gerdine College of Fine Arts at Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri, where he teaches all levels of drawing and introductory painting, as well as Northern Renaissance and Nineteenth-Century art history courses. He received his Master of Fine Arts from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in painting, and his Master of Arts from the University of Chicago in the History of Ideas.

Professor Loudenback works with oil painting and drawing. His work considers contemporary cultural interests and its intersections with the history of art. His paintings are modern updates of old master genres—the Netherlandish portrait or the Spanish baroque still life, for instance. His art has been exhibited in various solo and group shows throughout the United States.
