The Department of International Languages and Cultures at Webster University offers a major and a minor in French with a wide range of excellent courses taught in French and English. We offer French instruction at all levels of language acquisition as well as advanced courses on Francophone cultures and literature. Our expert and dedicated faculty prepares you to become a highly proficient speaker of French. Our programs give you all the essential tools and continuous support to approach the job market with confidence or successfully carry on to graduate programs in any discipline.

Dual-Credit Opportunities

 Le Centre Francophone established a dual-credit partnership in French with Ritenour High School in 2013. 

Le Club de français

Please join the newly created French Club! Come and enjoy student activities, such as screenings of Francophone movies, cultural excursions, and social gatherings. Rosita Awards

Initiated in the 2000, this annual event celebrates students with a commitment to learning a language. Applications are due the first week of April with the Award Ceremony held on the third week of April. Any student who has successfully completed four or more Webster University ILC classes in one language and received a B or more is eligible. More information »
