Advisory Board: Ricardo Falla
Ricardo N. Falla serves as Investment Promotion Officer at the Trade Office of Ecuador in Chicago since August of 2014, with oversight to the 12 states of the Midwest. As Investment officer he oversees the investment promotion activities of Ecuador in the Midwest, helps Investors from the region take advantage of investment opportunities in the Ecuadorian territory as well as advice on Ecuadorian Investment Policy and the incentives provided by the government. He also manages the Public Relations of the Office as well as the International Cooperation Agenda between Ecuador and organizations in the Midwest region, to forward the mission of PROECUADOR and that of the Ministry of Foreign Trade.
Mr. Falla served as Investment Adviser to H.E. Richard Espinosa, Coordinating Minister of Production, Employment and Competitiveness (Mar. 2013 – Jul. 2014). He also served as Director of Investor Services and Business Development (Oct. 2012 – Feb. 2013) and Foreign Trade Policy Specialist (Abr. 2012 – Sep. 2012) at the Coordinating Ministry of Production, Employment and Competitiveness. Mr. Falla is CEO at his family firm, Falla & Leon International, based in Quito, Ecuador (Jun. 2010 to present). Mr. Falla currently sits on the Advisory Board of the College of Arts and Sciences of Webster University in St. Louis, MO.
Mr. Falla holds a M.A. in International Relations (2011) and a B.A. in International Relations (2009) from Webster University in St. Louis, MO and a Certificate of Mandarin Language (2008) from Fudan University in Shanghai, China.
