Kathleen Thimsen
Kathleen Thimsen, RN, MSN, WOCN is a leader in her chosen field of wound and ostomy
care. She developed and managed a multi-state wound care clinical practice, has developed
proprietary software for managing patient care, has conducted research on wound care,
and has published numerous articles in the field. She has presented at conferences
both nationally and internationally. She is an alumna of Webster University's Bachelor
and Master's degree programs in Nursing.
Ms. Thimsen is a Fellow of the Mid-American Regional Public Health Institute from the University Of Illinois School Of Public Health. She serves on the International Association of Forensic Nurses Ethics committee and is a 30-year member of the Wound, Ostomy Continence Nurses Society and of Sigma Theta Tau. She also coordinates an annual medical/nursing mission project on the Amazon River in Colombia, South America.
Kathi is on the faculty at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville School of Nursing and is enrolled in the Doctor of Nursing Practice program at Johns Hopkins University.
