Anthropology & Sociology

The Department of Anthropology & Sociology houses majors and minors in Cultural Anthropology, Sociology, Criminology, and Women and Gender Studies; a minor in Multicultural Studies; and certificates in Diversity and Identity in the U.S. and Women's Studies. All programs analyze social and cultural dimensions of human life in the contemporary world, foster critical thinking and analytic skills among students, and seek to help students draw links between their individual lives and broader processes of political, economic, and social/cultural change.
