Biography:

Emily Thompson publishes in the field of sixteenth-century French literature.  Her teaching interests include contemporary Francophone literature, children’s literature in French and comics journalism.  She regularly teaches beginning French language courses and has been nominated twice for the Messing teaching award.  She has served as Chair of the International Languages and Cultures department and has been a part of the Faculty Senate as well as co-chair of the Women’s Studies Committee.
