After graduating from Northwestern University, Professor Laura W. Arnold spent three years as a professional staff member for the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation. While working in Washington, DC, she earned her Master’s Degree at George Washington University. Upon conclusion of her studies at The Ohio State University, Professor Arnold spent four years as an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Southern Illinois University -- Carbondale. She has served as an Adjunct Professor at Webster University for over ten years, teaching courses on a broad array of topics in American politics. Her research has been published in The American Political Science Review, Legislative Studies Quarterly, American Politics Quarterly, and Presidential Studies Quarterly. Professor Arnold and her husband, Professor David C. Kimball of the University of Missouri -- St. Louis, live with their three children in Webster Groves, Missouri.
