Jennifer Broeder, Professor in the Nursing Department, holds a BSN from SIU–Edwardsville, and her MSN and PhD in Nursing from Saint Louis University. She began her career as a registered nurse at St. Louis Children's Hospital where she was a Neonatal ICU nurse, nurse educator, and a clinical nurse specialist. After attaining her MSN, she taught nursing of children courses at SIU–E School of Nursing before coming to Webster University as an adjunct faculty member in 1995, and a full-time faculty member in 2002. Her teaching interests include nursing research, EBP, and nursing leadership. Dr. Broeder's research and practice interests include mothering preterm infants and integrating EBP into healthcare organizations. Over her career at Webster University, she has held leadership positions in the Nursing Department and the College of Arts & Sciences. When not working, she enjoys exercising, gardening, cooking, and traveling to visit her sons and their families.
