Dr. Elsesser has been teaching at Webster University’s St. Louis campus since 2002. In that time he has offered such courses as Urban American History, St. Louis History, African American History, the History of Food, and 19th and 20th Century U.S. and European history. Dr. Elsesser is fluent in French and has led students on tours of Paris and Versailles.  After completing his dissertation on the decline of the St. Louis public schools in 2009, Dr. Elsesser developed a practice of reviewing educational curricula and operations as a consultant for Outside of scholarship, Dr. Elsesser devotes his time to cycling, mountain biking, golf, and his wife (Christine) and their twin daughters.
