Biography

Sarah Beekman Harris, PhD is an Adjunct Full Professor in the Gerontology Department at Webster University. Sarah was a long-term care administrator when she began teaching Health Care Administration at Webster's Orlando Florida campuses in 2006. A concentration in Aging studies at Cornell U., aging studies at the University of South Florida and teaching experience at Ithaca College enabled her to add Gerontology courses to her teaching schedule for Webster. Continued work and study allowed her to develop the online course Economic Issues for Older Adults in 2010 and subsequently the Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders course which she also teaches. Sarah enjoys staying up to date with the ever-changing information surrounding these important issues for elders today.
