David Reichardt, PhD, is an instructor of international relations at Webster University’s Vienna campus, as well as at the Institute of International Relations, Comenius University, Bratislava, Slovak Republic. He holds an MA and PhD in international politics from the Graduate School of International Studies, University of Denver. Over the years, he has taught courses in comparative politics, international relations, the European Union, and Central and East European politics. His present academic research interests include European Union-Vatican relations, as well as democratization and the global promotion of democracy. His latest published work is: “American Foreign Policy and the Search for the Obama Doctrine,” Slovak Academy of Sciences, 2013.
