Edythe E. Weeks, PhD, has been serving Webster University as Adjunct Professor of International Relations in the Online Program since 2008. She earned her PhD in 2006 from Northern Arizona University. Her dissertation is entitled The Politics of Space Law in a Post Cold War Era: Understanding Regime Change. Her work has been published in a wide variety of scholarly journals including Acta Astronautica, Revue de Droit International de Sciences Diplomatiques et Politiques, and the Colloquium Proceedings of the International Institute of Space Law. She has been invited to present at the International Astronautical Federation Congress on several occasions. Her book Outer Space Development, International Relations and Space Law: A Method for Elucidating Seeds (Cambridge Scholars Publishing, 2012) has been recognized by the Peace Palace Library at The Hague. Her primary research examines space law and policy and subtle exercises of power related to the development of outer space. She has developed a unique course that enables students to apply mainstream and critical theories of international relations to future colonization of outer space scenarios. She enjoys teaching students how to connect to the space community.
