Admission Requirements

The Nurse Anesthesia Admissions Committee seeks applicants who meet these minimum qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field from a regionally accredited college or university, or the international equivalent, as determined by Webster.
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Strength in the basic sciences. The most competitive applicants will have taken at least two of these science courses and received a grade of B or higher within the last eight years: physics, biochemistry, and organic chemistry.
  • A cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for undergraduate studies, or evidence of outstanding postgraduate academic achievement.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in an acute-care setting after successful completion of a State Board of Nursing Examination.
  • A current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Missouri by the time an admitted applicant would start the program. Reciprocity inquiries should be directed to the Missouri State Board of Nursing. (Additional state licenses may be required as affiliate clinical sites are added to the program.)
  • Current ACLS, BLS, and CCRN certification by the postmark deadline.
  • PALS certification strongly recommended.
  • A personal interview.
