Missouri History Museum
The Missouri History Museum in Forest Park is accepting applications for paid internships
in our Community Education and Events department. K-12 Educational Interpreter Interns
will facilitate school tours and classroom activities for K-12 school groups who visit
the Museum. The internship period is from January 21 – May 10. Interns work three
shifts each week, M-F, 8-11:30am and/or 11-2:30pm, in addition to attending required
training sessions on Mondays, 3-5pm. More information.
Jefferson City Internships
Every spring semester, the History/Politics/IR department offers full-time internship
at the Missouri General Assembly in Jefferson City, MO. A student will be placed with
a member of the Missouri House of Representatives or with a legislative office and
work at the State Capitol during the legislative session (from early January through
mid-May.)
Students successfully completing the internship earn fifteen (15) credit hours.

media, education, conservation, and/or environmental issues to work in the St. Louis

International Institute of St. Louis
Jobs Volunteer
Assist refugee clients in their search for independence in America by preparing them
for the workforce. Work one-on-one with individuals seeking employment and help complete
job applications, resumes, and conduct mock interviews. Volunteers are needed to complete
a minimum of 5 hours per week during business hours. Training provided by staff.
Required Qualifications: Good communication and interpersonal skills; previous work
with non-native English speakers; resume, application, and interview experience. Volunteer
interview, background check, and orientation required.

Research, Writing and Community Outreach regarding Genocide and Threats of Genocide
Worldwide, The Holocaust Museum & Learning Center, St. Louis
In partnership with Webster University, the Holocaust Museum & Learning Center in
St. Louis is creating a permanent exhibit that addresses genocide and the threat of
genocide worldwide. The centerpiece of the new space is a smartboard that will be
regularly updated with information about current crises. Student interns are needed
to research and write summary material on conflict situations and to assist in adapting
this material into exhibit labels and school lesson plans. Interns may also assist
with tours and the training of tour guides to handle this material.
