WSBT 2000: Career Exploration for Professional Success
The Walker EDGE Office offers a credit bearing course designed to provide professional development guidance and career exploration for undergraduate students. Course sections are available at the Webster Groves main campus in the Spring and Fall semesters.
Provides students in the Walker School of Business & Technology opportunities to explore career options within their majors based on an assessment of professional interests and competencies. Establishes a working framework for career management and professional development with an individual career search strategy. Includes a study of the conditions and trends in the global job market and development of practical skills related to job search communication and personal brand development. Open to sophomore level and higher. 3 credit hours.
- Spring Semester: Section 10 - Tuesdays & Thursdays - 1:30 p.m. - 2:50 p.m.
- Spring 1 Term: Section 01 - Tuesdays - 5:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.
Walker EDGE 101
Walker EDGE 101 is a free, online tutorial that provides students with an opportunity to develop key job search skills with modules focused on resume writing, personal branding and interviewing. Walker EDGE 101 is open to all Webster students interested in pursuing an internship or enhancing professional development skills.
Walker EDGE 101 is a self-paced, 0-credit online tutorial in WorldClassRoom(Canvas). Flexible and convenient, Walker EDGE 101 allows students to work at their own pace, in their own time to complete the three required modules. Each module includes video tutorials, a short quiz and additional resources. A professional resume review is included.
Students complete a short application to gain access to Walker EDGE 101. Upon approval, an invitation will be sent to your Webster email address to join the Walker EDGE 101 WorldClassRoom.
