Mentor Connections

The Walker EDGE Office encourages students to participate in mentoring partnerships to develop a professional network and receive professional guidance.  Student mentees gain valuable insight beyond their education and experiences by receiving access to a professional support system at a critical time of career development.  There are currently two ways to get involved in mentoring:

Webster Alumni Mentoring Program

The Webster Mentoring Program provides an opportunity for students and alumni to connect in a positive one-on-one mentoring relationship. Through this six-month program, students gain guidance and support from select alumni through professional interactions, the exchanging of ideas, and learning from their personal experiences and knowledge of career paths. Alumni mentors give back to Webster by serving as role models and leaders as they help students reach their career goals.

RBC Mentor Network

Every academic year, the Walker School encourages students to participate in the Regional Business Council (RBC) Mentor Network. These students are individually paired with a CEO or top executive of an RBC company to receive practical, “real world” knowledge and advice on post-graduate opportunities.

The application process for the 2014-2015 Mentor Network will open in summer 2014.
