Policies and Community Expectations

Webster University expects community members to engage in a vibrant learning environment, predicated upon the value of respect. The university has established policies and procedures supporting the Webster University mission, vision, and values.

Notice of Non-Discrimination

Webster University is committed to non-discrimination and equal opportunity regarding the treatment of students, faculty and staff. The University considers employment, admissions, financial aid, programs, and activity applications without regard to race, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, color, creed, age, ethnic or national origin, or disability.

Student Code of Conduct

The Student Code of Conduct helps guide the behavior of students as members of the University community in support of the University’s mission, vision, and values.  The Code of Conduct provides specific community expectations and includes information on how the University will respond to reports of possible violations of these expectations.

Sexual Assault, Harassment, and Other Sexual Offenses Policy:

The educational mission of a university is to foster an open learning and working environment. Any form of discrimination, harassment, sexual violence, domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and other forms of sexual misconduct is antithetical to this mission. Webster University is committed to maintaining a safe learning and working environment that is free of discrimination, harassment, sexual violence, and other forms of sexual misconduct that undermine its educational mission. This policy also provides the campus community with the appropriate process for reporting and redressing individual reports related to sexual harassment, sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, stalking and other sexual offenses that occur to members of our community.

Housing and Residential Life Policies

Webster University seeks to provide a positive living-learning environment supporting its mission to ensure high quality learning experiences that transform students for global citizenship and individual excellence. The concepts of personal integrity and community responsibility remain central to this mission. The following community expectations have been created to aid in this endeavor. Individuals while on campus are expected to comply with these expectations, even if they do not reside in campus housing.

Community members who have experienced or witnessed behavior or an incident in which university policies have been violated are encouraged to report the violation.
