Centennial Kickoff

Centennial Celebration Kickoff

Friday, September 19, 2014 from 11:00am to 2:00pm

Centennial Celebration KickoffIt’s a Street Party – and you’re invited! Webster University’s Centennial celebration kicks off with a lunchtime concert in the heart of downtown St. Louis. We’re closing off the street and taking over the Old Post Office Plaza – downtown’s coolest open space – and just steps away from Webster’s downtown campus! We’re filling the plaza’s 30,000 square feet with music, activites, food trucks and more. Bus shuttles are being provided to and from the Webster Groves Campus to the Downtown Old Post Office Plaza. See schedule link below.

Come hear the sounds of Webster alumni Erin Bode and Samba Bom, grab a bite to eat from a selection of savory food trucks including Yo! Taco, Andrew's Bayou Ribs, The Meltdown and Sarah's Cake shop! Challenge a co-worker to street chess, or play some hoops! Take a selfie with your favorite mascots – the Cardinal's Fredbird, Rams' Rampage, Blues' Louis and other surprise guests– as they join the Gorlok (Webster’s mascot) in celebrating our 100-year anniversary in the Saint Louis community.

Afterward, follow the party to the Webster Groves home campus for the 2014 Homecoming Garden Glow! At 5:30pm, stroll alongside Webster’s Anheuser Busch Rain Garden, as we welcome home Webster’s alumni and students for the 2014-2015 school year. The Garden Glow is open to the public and will be held on campus just outside the East Academic Building on Garden Aveune.
