Certificate in Education for Global Sustainability
One of the defining challenges of the twenty-first century is how to transform human societies to meet everyone's needs while preserving the natural environment upon which we rely.
The Graduate Certificate in Education for Global Sustainability aims to provide professionals with the knowledge, skills, and tools for transforming schools, organizations and communities toward global sustainability. Our program emphasizes the integration of knowledge from a variety of disciplines, ranging from the sciences to the arts, and values experiential learning.
To attain the certificate, students must complete 18 hours of coursework with a 3.5 or better GPA. Choices for coursework in the program must be approved by the coordinator of EFGS and include the requirements below. To receive this certificate, a student must have a recognized baccalaureate degree and meet all of the admission and acceptance criteria as outlined in the graduate program Academic Policies and Procedures. All certificate courses must be completed at Webster University.
