The CMS provides a comprehensive music education that takes a student from pre-school through adulthood with its Young Years program; individual and group instruction; Suzuki strings; orchestras and ensembles; jazz program; and the premiere pre-college music preparatory program (PREP).
Students are truly a part of a musical community with many beats and rhythms! One of our most enduring gifts parents can offer their children is exposure to the joys and creative expression of music. In fact, many adults are rediscovering their love of music and are taking lessons with a new appreciation and passion.

Emerson Library
Webster University's Emerson Library on the main campus of Webster University includes scores, records, cassette tapes, videos, CDs, DVDs, books on music, advanced-level music scores and other music materials. Access to the collection is through the library's online catalog, Passports.
Although check-out privileges do not apply, Community Music School students can visit Emerson Library Web site and listen to the entire NAXOS Music Library, search the online Groves Dictionary and more by entering their student ID number (the 7-digit number appearing on a student bill).
Emerson Library is in the process of binding, repairing and cataloging music materials originally from the Community Music School. All of these materials will eventually be in the library's online catalogue and available to Community Music School staff and faculty. Students may check out materials through their instructors.
