    Learn the rudiments of jazz improvisation, knowledge of scales, forming jazz chords/arpeggios, and understanding chord symbols. Develop vital skills such as harmonic recognition, call and response, and rhythm section teamwork.

    Blues and jazz standards will be introduced and basic jazz history will be studied.

    Pre-requisite
    Must be able to play an instrument, have basic note-reading skills and know major scales.
