Individual Lessons
Individual lessons are available for 30, 45 and 60 minutes a week. Special arrangements can be made at a higher hourly rate.
Suzuki Strings
Young children learn to play the violin, viola and cello the same way they learn to speak — by listening, imitating and repeating sounds.
Preparatory Program
The school's Pre-College Music Preparatory Program is a chamber music program designed to augment the individual music study of exceptionally talented string, woodwind, brass, percussion, and piano students who anticipate pursuing a career in music.
Group Instruction
Many students are highly motivated by group instruction and enjoy the social interaction it provides. After two semesters of group instruction, students are encouraged to progress to individual lessons.
Young Years
Young Years is an early childhood music and movement program based on the beliefs that every child is musical, every parent is the child’s most important teacher and the home is the most important place from which learning can take root and grow.
Orchestras and Ensembles
The Community Music School of Webster University orchestras and ensembles are intended to support and enhance students’ individual lessons and school music programs.
Summer Opportunities
Music, band and theatre camps are all available during summer months at the Community Music School of Webster University.
Young Composers Competition
The Young Composers Competition recognizes and encourages students involved in writing their own music. Sponsored by Arden and Harry Fisher.
