Chamber Music Encounter (CME) teaches the skills and repertoire of this wonderful music form. Compositions are performed by and written for an instrumental ensemble with one player for each part. Professional chamber musicians and CMS faculty well experienced in chamber group settings will coach trios, quartets, and quintets. An essential ingredient of chamber music is the pleasure of playing together. Guest performers and speakers will share their tips for successful chamber music performance and ensemble development.
Participation will be based on successful auditions (to be held Saturday & Sunday, April 14 & April 15) and instrumentation needs. Space is limited. Due to auditions and placement, the application deadline is March 19.
