About

As a producer, engineer, and educator, Carl Nappa has a career that spans over 25 years. Nappa started his career in his hometown of Boston before moving to to New York City to engineer at the Hit Factory Recording Studios. While at the Hit Factory, he was able to fine-tune his craft by working with legendary artists, engineers, and producers.

Nappa has worked on 39 Gold®, Platinum®, and Multi-Platinum® records as well as two that have gone on to be Diamond® award-winning. Nappa's engineering, mixing, or producing credits on records have totaled over $79 million in sales.

A fateful meeting with Nelly led to a 10-year working relationship as his personal engineer. That relationship later turned into an opportunity for Nappa to create curriculum and work as executive director of the sound engineering music school, Vatterot College Ex'treme Institute in St. Louis.

Nappa also owns and operates his own recording studio in his new hometown of St. Louis, the St. Louis Recording Club.
