Brunette holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Fiction from the University of Miami and Bachelors of Art degrees in American Studies and English from St. Louis University.

Professional Experience

Lisa Brunette is an award-winning teacher, game designer, and novelist. Her game-writing credits include hundreds of titles, played by worldwide audiences in the millions, for Big Fish, Nintendo, and other publishers. New games Sender Unknown: The Woods and Matchington Mansion both released in fall 2017 to rave reviews in the App Store and on GooglePlay. All three books in her bestselling Dreamslippers Series have won indieBRAG medallions, and the second book was also named a finalist for the Nancy Pearl Book Award and nominated for a RONE Award. Brunette also has a long list of bylines as a journalist, short-story writer, and poet. Her work has appeared in the Seattle Post-IntelligencerSeattle WomanPoets & Writers, and elsewhere. Among her many teaching credits, she previously held a tenured position at Pierce College in Washington, where she received recognition for her teaching and service.
