Professional Experience

Michael Long is an award-winning animator who for years has taught animation production courses at Webster University. He has also taught courses on animation history, St. Louis history, storyboarding, foil fencing, and courses on laughter and the uncanny. He has lectured in Vienna on animation and magic, performed magic in Japan and Thailand, and is a member of the Society of American Magicians.

His other interests include 1950s science fiction films, ghost stories, magic history, and writing dramas for radio podcasts. All of these interests, oddly enough, contribute to living a fully animated life.
