Benefit From One-Stop Networking OPPORTUNITIES

The School of Communications makes it easy by bringing together professional and student organizations.

On Wednesday, Feb. 20 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the University Center Sunnen Lounge, the School of Communications Center for Portfolio Development and Internships will host OPPORTUNITIES 2014. It is an event designed to expose students to a range of professional and student organizations. The event will give students the opportunity to explore their professional interests, to network, to get involved with student organizations on campus, and to learn about the benefits of joining  professional associations.

"Smart and successful students seek these organizations out and become active as student members so they will both be noticed and learn something about the real world of their professions," said Gary Ford, associate professor and former faculty advisors for Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA).

There will be plenty of food available, and students should also register for the great raffle prizes. Appropriate attire for the event is business casual. The most up-to-date list of participating professional and student organizations is included below.
