Filmmaking Camp

Film Camp

Create a Short Film
Monday, June 15- Friday, June 19, 2020

Webster University School of Communications' Filmmaking Summer Camp offers  high school filmmakers a dynamic, engaging environment that contains a combination of exercises designed to build a unique foundation for storytelling. Over the course of the week, campers will work collaboratively toward creating a completed program based on a pre-selected script.

Each camper is exposed to production industry techniques through instruction designed to build a motion picture from creative to presentation during the week.Participants develop an understanding of production jobs as they are defined through departmental tasks and exercises that build the story. Campers will learn the filmmaking process through participating in each facet of production including:

  • Script breakdown
  • Location scouting
  • Storyboarding
  • Equipment training and operation
  • Crewing a production
  • Post production editing
