Once students graduate into the working world, class projects are replaced by client meetings. But for some students at Webster University, client meetings are already part of class.

The School of Communications is noted for giving students the opportunity to work with the latest equipment early in their studies, preparing them for real-world experiences well before they  graduate.

The School of Communications course, “Pro-Seminar in Video Production,” demands a workload, from client meetings to final projects, that mimics that of a professional video production house. The students have served the needs of a variety of clients with professional-quality videos, but now they can add their university to their client list.

“When I heard that the Global Marketing & Communications Department had a need for additional videos, I thought it was a great opportunity to prove that our students are just as proficient as people who do this work professionally,” said Aaron AuBuchon, assistant professor, Electronic and Photographic Media.

It's just another way Webster's interactive classes encourage innovation and collaboration as students make connections that prepare them for success.
