Ormond to Present "3D: Novelty, Niche and Story" at Conference
Webster University School of Communications associate professor Rebecca Ormond will present her paper, 3D: Novelty, Niche and Story, at the 2013 University Film and Video Association (UFVA) Conference/67th Annual University Film and Video Conference.
According to Ormond, “the paper examines 3D's unique psychological time-space zeitgeist
in recent independent films and presents ways in which I believe 3D technology can
effectively be used to enhance story in a way not possible with 2D.” An image from her presentation is available here. Ormond teaches film production in the electronic and photographic media department.
She has taught at Webster University since 1999.
Rebekah Jorgensen, who coordinates the graduate level media communications program at Webster University's
campus in Geneva, Switzerland, will also be presenting at the conference.
The 67th University Film and Video Conference is comprised of national and international
filmmakers, educators, and media production industry representatives. It is being
held at Chapman University in Orange, Calif. from July 29 to August 3, 2013.
