Casting Director: ‘So You Want to Be in Show Business?'

Her lecture was targeted to students seeking insights for careers in television, film and new media.

An enthusiastic group of students attended the event (at the Webster University campus in Vienna), which included a Q&A session. The focus was on helping attendees identify their professional goals and develop strategies to reach them.

Originally a stage actor and director, Veenker has worked on three continents, including 14 years as a film and television casting director, on projects such as Twilight, Paranoid Park, TNT's Leverage and NBC's Grimm. She also visited Webster Vienna in 2011.
