Faculty Films Featured at Film Series

ST. LOUIS (July 20, 2017) – Films by School of Communications faculty Brian Jun, Zlatco Cosic, and David (Davey) Rocco screened at Cinema St. Louis, St. Louis Filmmaker’s Showcase Sunday, July 16, 2017.

“Mike Sidwell, Strongman,” by Brian Jun screened in the Documentary Shorts category. “That’s What You Get for Grabbing,” and “Story 1: Scenes 1-9,” by Zlatco Cosic and “Even the Birds Know It,” by Zlatco Cosic and Rachel Cosic, as well as “Summer Louis,” by Davey Rocco screened in the Experimental Shorts category.

In addition, “Summer Louis,” can be seen on the video wall at Citygarden as part of Cinema at Citygarden, a biennial program organized by Cinema St. Louis and funded by the Gateway Foundation. Rocco’s film received the first-place award in a juried competition open to St. Louis-area filmmakers. They were required to incorporate nature as a key element of their submissions.

“Summer Louis” will be screened along with other award winners and selected Cinema at Citygarden entries throughout the St. Louis Filmmakers Showcase.

Rocco is an assistant professor of film, television, and video production in the School of Communications at Webster University. Cosic and Jun also teach film, television, and video production.
