Summer Music Programs at the CMS!
The Community Music School offers summer music programs for children birth - 18 years old. Music programs include family camp, band, low brass, flute, string, composition, chamber music, and individual lessons. The CMS is now registering students for summer programs.
Summer Walk-in Registration for New Students
June 1-6, 2013
The Community Music School offers one-on-one instruction on all instruments of the band and orchestra, piano, guitar, and voice, at three St. Louis locations. Students of all ages and ability levels can be matched with one of the 90 master music teachers during Summer New Student Registration: June 1-6, 2013.
Audition Applications Accepted for Community Music School's Orchestras and Ensembles
Band and string students ages 7 years through high school are encouraged to audition
for the school’s orchestra or ensembles including String Ensemble, String Orchestra, Young People’s Concert or Symphonic Orchestras, Preparatory Program (chamber music), Jazz Lab Ensemble, and Percussion Ensemble.
2013-2014 audition applications for the 2013-2014 orchestras and ensembles are being accepted. Requirements are included in the Audition Booklet. Orchestras and ensembles rehearse weekly at the Community Music School’s headquarters at 535 Garden Avenue in Webster Groves.
Application deadlines begin as early as July 26.
The Community Music School provides opportunities to participate in multiple performances. These programs are structured to enhance students’ skills beyond individual performance and to support the education process in school music programs.
