Community Music School Faculty Recital

The CMS is pleased to present faculty members in recital, showcasing their abilities as outstanding performers. Faculty performing on the recital include Matt Frederickson, low brass; Dan Fry, piano; Nina Gerassimova, piano; Eliana Haig, viola; Soo Kyung Kim, piano; Cathie Lehr, cello; Jill O'Brien, soprano; Vera Parkin, piano; Daniel Schene, piano; Robert Souza, trumpet; and Kourtney Strade, mezzo-soprano. Works by Beethoven, Handel, Kennan, Poulenc, Strauss, Ravel, Reger, von Weber, and Wolf will be performed in solos and ensembles.
Pizza Party Incentive for CMS Students & Faculty: the teacher's studio that has the most students (highest percentage) attend the recital will win a pizza party for their studio! All CMS studios are eligible, not just teachers that are performing on the recital. Yes, we think it is valuable for our students to see our faculty perform and we like pizza! Be sure to check in!

AGES: Level I: students ages 12-16; Level II: students ages 17-21
2014-15 COMPOSITION INSTRUMENTATION GUIDELINES: Compositions may use a combination of 2-7 musicians on any of the following instruments: 2 violins, 1 viola, 1 cello, 1 double bass, 1 piano, 1 percussionist. See Guidelines and Entry Form for more details.
