2019 CMS Percussion Ensemble Auditions | Webster University

Now Seeking High School and Advanced Middle School Percussionists

percussion ensemble auditions imageThe Community Music School of Webster University will hold auditions for their Percussion Ensemble on Saturday, November 23rd from 10:00 a.m – 1:00 p.m. in the CMS Center.  These auditions are open to high school and advanced middle school percussionists interested in performing in a variety of ensemble settings including keyboard mallets, ethnic/world percussion and traditional battery-based percussion.  Requests for an audition time may be made online by going to www.webster.edu/cms-percussion.  The deadline to submit audition requests is November 15th.

The CMS Percussion Ensemble will be under the leadership of new faculty member Dr. Jeffrey Barudin.  In addition to his position as faculty member for CMS, Dr. Barudin is an Associate Professor of Music at Lindenwood University where he oversees the percussion studio and conducts the Lindenwood Symphony Orchestra.  He also teaches applied percussion at St. Charles Community College.  He received his Masters and Doctorate in Percussion Performance from the University of Michigan, and his BS in Music Education from Penn State University.  He has been teaching percussion in some capacity for over 20 years.  Please visit his website or his YouTube channel.
