COMMUNITY MUSIC SCHOOL
Flutists! Improve your skills with daily classes in a flute ensemble setting. Classes
will cover warm-up exercises, tone, intonation and breathing exercises, and will conclude
with a performance at the end of the week. This flute camp, facilitated by long-time
faculty member Carolyn Hoyer, is designed to address individual strengths and challenges.
Ms. Hoyer was a member of the Gateway Festival Orchestra and continues her studies
with Regents Professor Dr. Mary Karen Clardy (University of North Texas).
Requirements: one year playing flute in a school band program or at least one year of private flute instruction.
Grades: Students entering grades 7-12 in Fall 2016
Dates: June 6-10, 2016 from 2-5 p.m. Monday-Friday
Performance: Friday, June 10 at 4 p.m.
Tuition: $130 (includes t-shirt)
