String Orchestra Camp
COMMUNITY MUSIC SCHOOL
Make music with new friends from all over St. Louis! Students will participate daily in full orchestra rehearsals, sectionals, and master classes/special presentations. Three orchestra levels (pending enrollment) under the direction of CMS orchestra conductors Nancy Daby, Mary Lou Gotman, and Patrick Jackson will musically challenge every student.
Ages: violin, viola, cello, and bass students 7 years old - high school in Fall 2017
Dates: June 12-16, 2017 from 9 a.m. - noon
Performance: Friday, June 16 at 11 a.m.
Tuition: $160 (includes t-shirt)
Requirements: at least one year’s experience playing your instrument and reading music (quarter and eighth notes, minimum); consult with your student’s private instructor or school orchestra director to determine readiness for camp. Completion of pre-camp questionnaire needed for placement; questionnaire will be emailed the week of May 15.
Application Deadline: May 15, 2017
String Camp Package: Enroll in String Orchestra Camp and Chamber Music Encounter and pay a combined tuition of only $350.
