"Virtual" Summer Composition Intensive

COMMUNITY MUSIC SCHOOL

Summer Composition Intensive Student at Work!

Is music swirling inside your head? The Virtual Summer Composition Intensive is just for you! Using the Zoom platform, you'll meet and work with St. Louis area composers and musicians online, receive individual attention and work in groups according to your experience level (from those needing the basics of notation, transposition, and scoring, to students with prior composing experience).

At the end of the two weeks you will have:

  • An original composition for a specified instrumental trio using your arsenal of new skills and resources
  • A recorded performance of your original work
  • New friends!

All participants must be able to read music and play an instrument or sing.  A pre-camp questionnaire to determine experience will be mailed to registrants the week of June 15th.

Students must participate in both weeks of the Summer Intensive for their works to be performed and recorded.
