Webster University Dance Ensemblemysteria

The Webster University Dance Ensemble is the performance company for the
Department of Dance. Auditions are held each Fall with nationally acclaimed guest artists
and faculty invited to choreograph. The Ensemble produces a major concert each Spring in the Loretto-Hilton Center's Virginia Browning Mainstage Theatre.

Webster University Dance Ensemble's Spring Concert for 2020 will take place May 1-2 at 7:30pm and May 3 at 2:00pm in the Loretto-Hilton Center's Browning Mainstage Theatre.

BFA Choreographic Concerts

BFAI2018BFA concerts are held each year, choreographed and performed by students and produced on the University’s Stage III theatre. As a capstone project, the Bachelor of Fine Arts candidate is required to choreograph approximately 20 minutes of dance for a collaborative concert with their peers and successfully complete all aspects of production, including costuming, lighting, and PR/marketing. 

The BFA I concert will be presented October 10-12 at Stage III in Webster Hall. Thursday and Friday night performances begin at 7:30 pm. The Saturday matinees begin at 2:00 pm.



Creations Concertsashley

Toward the end of each semester, students have the option to participate in a completely student created, choreographed, and performed Creations Concert. All students are welcome to explore choreographing their own dances for this performance in the Jean and Wells Hobler Center for Dance.

Webster University's Department of Dance students will be showcasing their works each semester. The Fall Creations Concert will take place December 6 and 7 at 7:30 pm and the Spring Creations Concert will take place April 18 at 8:00 pm.

American College Dance Association

kendalljanebfaThe Webster University Dance Ensemble participates annually in the Regional American College Dance Association Conference. Webster's choreography is regularly selected for the event's galas, an acknowledgment of the outstanding training one receives at Webster University.  In addition to regular performance opportunities in the Department, dance majors are encouraged to explore performance, choreographic, and teaching opportunities in the community.

The Dance Club, in coordination with the Department of Dance will be chartering students and faculty to University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, OK, March 25-28, 2020 to participate in classes and perform at the Central Region Conference Adjudicated and Informal Concerts.

Webster Dance students actively perform in the community throughout the year.
Some of the opportunities in any one year might include performances at Laumeier Sculpture Park, Webster University Alumni and Parent Week performances on the Quad, and National Dance Week Festival in Grand Center in St. Louis.
