Program Description

The Master of Arts in International Relations combines critical thinking with Webster’s tradition of social responsibility. Faculty are drawn from traditional academic backgrounds, but many also have practical experience in the public sector or with developing nations. Many perform research regarding globalization and international affairs. Coursework provides exposure to the key subfields of the discipline and relevant issues such as globalization, human rights, humanitarian action, and economic development.

Regardless of what you studied as an undergraduate the M.A. in International Relations program is accessible to you. The program is ideal for students seeking work with a governmental agency, an intergovernmental organization, a nongovernmental organization, or a multinational corporation. It also is a good fit with law, education, and the natural sciences. Some of our students have gone on to pursue a Ph.D. or an academic career at another institution.
